Boots Toiletries Scientific Advisor
As our lead scientific advisor for toiletries, Crian deals with deodorants, anti-perspirants – and hair removal. His remit? To ensure that every element of our hair removal range is safe to use and up to scratch, which means continual testing to ensure purity as well as taking responsibility for sourcing, stability and effectiveness. As a Chartered Chemist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, he has the specialist know-how and, when it comes to tackling what we all want from our hair removal products, he delivers it in just the way we want it.
Putting deodorants and hair removal through their paces may sound like a tough job, but for Crian it’s all part of his daily routine.
As our lead scientific advisor for toiletries, it’s up to him to ensure that our toiletries are performing exactly as we expect them to. It’s a fast-changing environment and Crian stays on top of it by keeping bang up to date with the very latest research and developments, which means continual liaison with external bodies and experts in specialist fields.
Crian’s been part of the Boots team since 1983, so when it came to creating the Expert range of deodorants and hair removal he was a key player.
