Flossing

Flossing - if you haven't flossed, you haven't really cleaned your teeth. Brushing can only remove plaque from three surface of your teeth, so if you don't floss, plaque, bacteria and debris trapped and in contact with the surfaces between your teeth and under the gumline can build up. This may eventually lead to gum problems and tooth loss. So, flossing should be a vital part of your daily oral care routine - once a day (perhaps in the evening, when you have more time) would be a great start. There is a wide range of tapes and flosses available, and loads of devices for making the placement of the tape or floss between the teeth easy all the way around the mouth. Recent studies have shown benefits can be achieved within weeks in those people who hadn't use floss before, so it really is a useful add-on to your brush and rinse.
