The fact is that almost half of us will feel that we have sensitive skin at some point in our lives. The term covers a host of complaints, so that’s why we’ve created a definitive range of Expert Sensitive Skin products to soothe, smooth and restore balance to irritated skin from top to toe.
Mature Skin
As we age there are some natural changes that effect the condition of the skin. Renewal of the cells at the skin surface gets slower and these cells also retain less water. Mature skin also secretes less sebum on to the surface of the skin. The combination of these factors leaves the skin feeling dryer and less supple. Mature skin also becomes thinner and so one of the skin's most important functions - protection - becomes less efficient. So even if we have taken care of our skin over the years and protected it from the environment it can still feel more taught and rougher in texture, more prone to damage and slower to repair. To restore it's condition you may find you need to switch to richer moisturisers and whereas previously you may have used detergent based cleansers on the face it becomes even more important to avoid them.
