Brushing teeth properly

Posted on 25th May at 07:26 AM Posted by: Ian Marlow

If we don’t spend enough time brushing our teeth properly, bacteria can build-up between teeth or around the gum line. These presence of these bacteria in dental plaque can lead to a degree of inflammation, that can pull the gum away from the tooth margin and lead to a gap opening, into which even more bacteria can invade, which can continue to develop into more serious forms of gum disease. You can do something about preventing things getting to this stage, by ensuring you routinely use a regime of paste, rinse and interdental cleaning.

hydrogen peroxide

Posted on 11th June at 04:40 PM Posted by: Dawn Laws

My husband has recommended using diluted hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash to keep gums healthy. He says it was suggested to him by his dentist some forty years ago and swears it helped him to keep his teeth.  He is now 73. He used to buy a bottle over the counter in Boots in those days. Is it still possible to do this. I’d like to give it a try.
