Dandruff

Posted on 20th March at 11:20 AM Posted by: Stewart Long

At some point in our lives 1 in 2 of us will suffer with dandruff, so it is really common and not something to feel embarrassed about. It is what is known as a chronic condition, meaning it can come back, so the best way to prevent it is to regularly use an antidandruff shampoo and conditioner.

A dry and itchy scalp needs to be treated in the same way that you would treat dry and itchy skin anywhere else on your body; moisturising, soothing and very mild dry/ itchy scalp products thoroughly cleanse the hair without stripping the scalp of natural oils. Used as a regime, the scalp will feel less tight and itchy and the flaking will be reduced.

What styling products can I use

Posted on 30th March at 12:56 PM Posted by: Imageprincess

What styling products are best to use when you suffer from dandruff - I’m never sure and hairspray seems to make it worse!  Using wax and other products seems to not cause the same problems but appear to limit the resolution of the dandruff.

I wash my hair 3-4 times a week, using a supermarket brand shampoo. My scalp is getting progressively more flaky. Is there a shampoo/combination I could use to stop this?
