Feeling self conscious?

Posted on 20th March at 11:07 AM Posted by: Crian Wilson

The last thing we want as we go about our everyday life is that hot sweaty self conscious feeling. The amount we perspire is principally dependant on temperature but also the level of stress we are under. We can’t always predict the type of day we are going to have. Will it be hot or cold? Will that important interview be held in an air-conditioned office or in stifling heat? Will my day be stressful or calm? The secret is to find a really good anti-perspirant and regularly use it. An anti-perspirant will not only reduce the amount you perspire if you become hot or stressed but also acts as a deodorant on the sweat you do produce. That whiffy body odour is created when bacteria breaks down sweat

Cronic Sweat

Posted on 15th May at 10:51 AM Posted by: Mr Sweaty

I sweat like you canty believe. Jesus I do. Come snow, ice, rain, sun, i’ll be sweating. Even if unstressed. When stressed it is even worse. IO wear a suit to work and historically this used to be my barrior to hide the sweat patches on my shirt but now, the sweat patches are visable through the suit. Very nice. So embarrassing!!!!! The surprising thing with my sweat though is the fact it does not smell - my (close) friends and family have confirmed this. The sweat is just like water - lots and lots of water.

I have tried so many types of anti-p or deoderhants, roll on, sticks, you name it I have tried it. Even tried some dodgy stuff I bout of the internet Odaban - burnt my arm pits like you cant beleiev. Couldnt sleep at night with the pain - only had to apply it once every week, but burnt to bad to continue with. I use it every now and then for speacial oocassions - no pain - no gain, plently of pain - no sweat!

Am goign to try this Boots expert stuff but remain sceptical. After years of trying so mnay brands and types I feel all hoep is lost.

I am a sweater throigh and through

Another Product... to let me down??

Posted on 18th May at 06:00 AM Posted by: 12 YEARS ON... & STILL SWEATING!

Hi there. I have suffered with severe hyperhidrosis since the tender age of 13. At 19, I underwent an ETS operation which I initially thought had worked at combatting my excessive problem. Unfortunately I was not warned of the possible side-effects and now suffer from severe Compensatory Hyperhidrosis (where you body still needs to sweat, so will re-route and sweat from other places - in my case back and chest) and Gustatory Hyperhidrosis (which means I sweat from the back of my neck when I eat certain foods). Unless you suffer from this problem, it really is hard to understand just how much it can dominate your life and make you rather depressed at times. I have had Botox, tried millions of deoderants and even tried a herbal rememdy, but eventually gave up. I am now in the process of trying Odaban, but after reading the message posted by ‘Mr Sweaty’ and I am rather dubious. Does being sweat free really mean you have to be in pain instead? I am a young 25 year old mother of 2 who absolutely dreads going out, whatever the weather I will sweat like I have just run a marathon. Even a trip to the local park 5 mins away is a task for me. I have to change my clothes when I get home! Does anybody have any tips, suggestions or successful remedies that I can try? I am DESPERATE! I will give Boots expert stuff a try, but to be honest it would have to be one hell of an anti-perspirant to stop me sweating! YUK! Thanks for listening to my rant!

Please Help!

Well I’ve just turned 16 and since 2nd year in school I’ve sweated constantly, only time when i don’t is when i’m in the house on a normal day. I can’t take my jumper off in school and Pe is worse where i try to hide sweat patches with layers of clothes. I don’t think it smells, just really big water sweat patches. I’ve tried all sorts of deodrants and getting to the point of giving up. Going out is really embarassing and i tend to keep my jacket on so no-one sees and get parinoid if i here people laughing. I am going to try the Boots Expert range and hope to God it works!

Posted on 20th June at 06:04 PM Posted by: fed up with pits of water

well firstly thanks, i have picked up a few tips whilst reading these comments. My problem is the watery like pools under the arm pits, i am a confident guy and have just got a job in an open plan office where the uniform is light blue!!!! nightmare. my problem seemed to sub side when i used a deoderant stick by Paul Smith Extreme but i cannot find it anywhere now, and the problem is back. I even have gone to the measure of getting a desk fan to help me through the day. I will try the applyng before bed and hope this works. I will also visit these chaps in boots and who knows. hope this in someway helps someone
