How do we test our products?

Every new parent wants to treat their baby with special care and many of the claims on baby skincare are designed to show parents how much care has gone into developing products just for them. In our case we involve a Paediatrician and a Dermatologist to help guide our product development. We also test the products extensively, starting with laboratory studies on the ingredients and prototype formulations, and then into people (adults at first) and then we ask large panels to use the products in the home for at least 2 weeks. Once we are sure we have mildness assured by all these tests, we ask mothers to trial the products on their young babies. Two of the early tests in particular help give us confidence in the products. Firstly, in developing the Expert Baby Sensitive range, we have tested our washing and bathing products on samples of skin taken from adults. Using a very safe and effective procedure, we peel off the topmost layer of the skin using a material like Superglue. This is a few cells thick but when we expose this to normal detergents we can stain the skin to show a loss of barrier. Our baby products perform far better than this and this gives us confidence to go on to test in people and babies. The second test involves exposing adults’ eyes to shampoo or bath products diluted to reflect the conditions of use. The volunteers compare this to water and this is how we can make the “tearless” claim. The results of all these tests are reviewed by the Dermatologist and Paediatrician and result in products with assured mildness for your special one.

Excellent Range

I would like to let you know how excellent the Expert range is for babies. My baby girl has really fiery nappy rash. I have used used everything on the market. The best one I found is the baby expert range especially the bottom cream. It’s the cheapest and the best, a small drop goes a long way. I will be telling my friends who have babies to use this if they have bother with nappy rash.
