Sensitive Skin and the body

Well I returned from holiday and as some of you may have noticed there was a lot of press interest in No7 Protect & Perfect Beauty serum going back on the shelves in Boots. So I had my work cut out keeping up with this and so missed the blog. Apologies! This week I thought I’d extend the discussion of sensitive skin to look at differences between body sites. The skin on the regularly exposed parts of the body - the face & hands - is subject to greater “erosion by the elements” than the rest of the body. It is one of life’s quirks that finds these areas far more responsive in senses like touch, pain and many others. So when the skin barrier on the face and hands gets weakened by the elements you feel it more! This is why most people with sensitive skin find this affecting their face most of all. This doesn’t mean the body skin cannot become sensitive, and as we expose our bodies to the elements more these days, its important to treat the body skin well too. Next week we’ll be talking about body again, but from a slightly different viewpoint.

My skin can become quite dry and sensitive. Would the Protect and Perfect Beauty Serum be suitable to use on my skin as I have lines under my eyes and would like to try this product. At the moment I only use Endrial cream by ROC on my face.

I’m 39 and have had extremely,depressingly troublesome skin for as long as I can remember. Dry, flaky, prome to red blotches and eczema, it’s been a nightmare. Then I discovered the Experts sensitive range and it has turned my life around, literally. It’s brilliant, doesn’t sting when you use it and my skin looks better than it has done for years. It is so much better than other expensive products that simply hurt my skin. I use the body moisture boost, intensive handcream, eye cream, hydrating moisturiser (for face) and the face wash. Excellent Range

Honestly it a great range and at such an excellent price point – must say the hand cream is my personal favourite …..I’ve bought numerous tubes for other people to try.

I would be in seventh heaven if you do a foot care range in Expert – just a cream for dry feet

I hope you expand the range.

Where have you been all my life! I have just started using the Boots Expert cleansing lotion, which I discovered in my local store very recently. I am nearly 50 years old and since teenage years have had sensitive skin. Although my skin is sensitive and fair ( natural blond) it is also oily and prone to blemish, even at my advanced age! Over the years I have tried many products and spent vast amounts of money, time, and effort in an attempt to ease my skin problems. Two well known ranges that I have tried being Clinique, and latterly the body shop sensitive range. Even the mild Clinique regime has proven to be too harsh on my skin. So far your expert range is a winner, no irritation or dryness when used and at a very reasonable price. I will broaden out and try the other products in the range. My daughter suffers from the same skin problems and has the same colouring. We have even been as far as hospital tests for allergies due to reactions to virtually any skin products, my daughter breaks out in a blotchy rash after cleansing her skin.We have yet to find out what effects her. we hope that your range offers a solution. Thank you.

Brilliant range

The usual brand of moisturiser I use has stopped being made so I decided to try body moisturiser in the expert range. And its fantastic, its not greasy its absorbed easily and makes my skin feel nice and to top it off its reasonably priced as well. I also brought the heat defence spray and that is also very good I shall be buying more products from this range. Keep up the good work Boots.
