Ian Marlow (dental)
Ian Marlow has been with Boots since 1987 and is responsible for our scientific guidance and advice, clinical trials, as well as professional collaborations. For 5 years he managed a joint research centre with Sheffield University Dental School responsible for testing many of our dental products. All this expertise was put to work heading the team that created our Expert Dental range, giving us all something to smile about.
Crian Wilson (deodorants, hair removal)
As our lead scientific advisor for toiletries Crian ensures that every ingredient in our deodorant range is up to scratch, which means sourcing and continual testing and assessing of purity, sourcing, stability and effectiveness. As a Chartered Chemist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, he has the specialist know-how and, when it comes to tackling what we all want from our deodorants, he delivers it all without breaking a sweat.
Stewart Long (haircare)
Stewart Long is the mastermind behind our Expert haircare products. With degrees in Biochemistry and Medical Cell Biology, he has spent 8 years in medical research, which included major international projects on haircare formulations. His work for us has seen him put all his clinical expertise into developing innovative new products and ensuring that every single one delivers optimum performance.
Steve Barton (skincare, men and mother & baby)
Having dedicated the first 12 years of his professional career to academic research into skin biology, Steve has built an internationally respected profile. This has been followed by the last 16 years working with us as our skin expert, researching how products interact with skin and training our in-store skincare advisors. Liaising with leading dermatologists as well as industry bodies throughout the world, he is continually updating his specialist knowledge.
